I'm thinking of uploading home video to the Open Source Archive, and embedding in my personal webpage. I have a lot of video, most of which will probably not be very interesting to anyone outside my family. My question is, is this considered an appropriate use of the archive?

Thank you for your post!
We would absolutely be interested in your material being housed on Internet Archive. We are meant to be a completely open-source project that helps users store and preserve what is important to them forever.
We do, specifically, have an interest in preserving home movies as well! We see them as a wonderful piece of cultural history, especially when complete metadata is included.
